Rock Bodyz Detox and Cleanse

Detoxing and cleansing is a great way to refresh your body, remove toxins, increase energy, improve digestion and even loose a couple of pounds. I highly recommend following a detox and cleanse diet once a year. The purpose of any detox plan is to take the load off the organs that detoxify the body – the liver, kidneys and bowel – while at the same time supporting and improving their performance. If you want to improve your health, give your body a break, or just want to detox diet for a short time, follow this safe and do-able seven-day program.
What to do
Check your schedule and mark a week where you have a clean break from functions or events that might derail your detox, such as weddings, birthdays or special occasion meals. Some people may experience a 'cleansing' reaction in the first few days of detox, including headaches or loose bowel movements. This is due to the sudden withdrawal of certain foods, in addition to stimulation of detoxifying organs. These symptoms should subside in 24 to 48 hours.
Before Detoxing
The week before detoxing and Cleansing you will want to begin to prepare yourself and your home to make the week of detoxing easier.
If you’re like me and tend to drink a lot of coffee, then start the week before slowly cutting back on the amount of coffee you drink to help limit caffeine withdrawals. Drinking a cup of green tea instead of as much coffee can help to offset the gradual decrease.
It can also help to slowly start removing processed foods before a detox and begin eating more vegetables; especially if you typically eat a diet heavy in processed foods. If not already, begin drinking more water.
Plan out your meals for the next week during you detox. So when grocery shopping you will know exactly what you will need to help maintain a clean healthy diet. This will prevent any binge eating on unhealthy snacks or the need to grab any kind of fast food.
I recommend removing any sweets or items from the house that are on the Foods to avoid list, especially items that are of great temptation to indulge on. Out of sight, out of mind.

Detox plan for the next seven days
Lemon water: Citrus fruits, such as lemons, contain a pure concentrated form of citric acid. Due to its acidity and high pH levels, citric acid is able to actually penetrate and break down fat molecules. Lemons are high in antioxidants to help protect cells from damage and boost your immunity to help ward off colds and flu. This will also help to encourage cleansing of your liver and flush toxins from your body, reduce food cravings and improve your skins appearance.Use only fresh lemons. This ensures the maximum quality of antioxidants and enzymes and ensures you’re not receiving any preservatives.
Simply squeeze one half to full lemon in 2 cups of water.
Drink one glass of lemon water upon first awakening in the morning.
Continue to drink lemon water through the day as desired.
Fluids: Aim to drink three liters of fluid daily. This will help move the lymph and support kidney detoxification. Choose from pure spring water, fresh vegetable juice and herbal detox teas.
Detox Tea: You can make your own or buy a premade one at the store. If making your own you can mix some of these with green tea and sweeten with a bit of honey. Add one teaspoon of the dried herbs to a cup of boiling water. Let steep for five minutes, strain and drink. Use or look for a tea that contains some of the following:
Dandelion Root (High in antioxidants, helps liver stimulate bile production to transport toxins out.)
Ginger Root (Helps digestive system, cleanses colon, liver and other organs)
Lemon (High in antioxidants, helps cleansing of your liver and flush toxins from your body)
Exercise: During detox aim to exercise for one hour daily. And not just any exercise – something that makes you pant and puff and raise a sweat like a spin class, jog along the beach, walking uphill, hot yoga or boxing. Vigorous exercise increases lymph flow and circulation to help sweat out toxins.
Raw foods: Keep as many of the vegetables, fruits, and nuts raw to increase the amount of nutrients and enzymes available to your body as cooking often times will cause them to be reduced.
Vitamins: Rock Bodyz Vita-Rock vitamins (It also contains the probiotic Acidophilus and an enzyme complex) Vita-Rock
Probiotics: Rock Bodyz Bio-Rock probiotics to help increase good gut bacteria to improve digestion, nutrients absorption and immunity from colds. (2 capsules per day recommended) Bio-Rock
